Nature Becomes Art in February: Anne Forbes Van Nest Exhibit at WPL

The Weston Public Library’s “gallery” will carry outdoors in for the exhibit going down from February 2-28. Local artist Anne Forbes Van Nest can be displaying among the figures she has made out of sticks, branches, leaves, seed pods, stones and different pure objects.

“I’ve been making figures for years now out of issues I discover within the woods,” stated Anne. “My objective in sharing them is to encourage others to have a brand new perspective on their environment after they take a stroll.”

In specific, these figures resonate with the youngest viewers: “Children have taken to this very effectively. An instance is once I see a stick that I believe appears to be like like a pair of legs and I ask them what they see,” Anne explains. “I get some very fascinating responses. I could also be opening their eyes however they open mine as effectively. I hope that after seeing my creations adults, too, will begin taking one other go searching them.”

The artist’s reception is February 4, 2-4 pm on the Weston Public Library Community Room. The exhibit can be up from February 2-28 on the WPL, 87 School Street.
